AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING AND PENALIZING WITH FINE AND IMPRISONMENT OR BOTH AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COURT TO ANY PERSON OR PERSONS WHO SHALL SLAUGHTER ANY ANIMALS FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION BEFORE IT IS CERTIFIED BY THE INSPECTION THAT IT IS FREE FROM ANY DISEASE OR DISEASES.
Section 1
Only licensed butcher or butchers is/are allowed to butcher of slaughter any animal or animals as enumerated is Sec. 1 of Ordinance No. 4 Series of 1960 for public consumption.
Section 2
Any person or persons caught slaughtering and selling meat of animals mentioned in Sec. 1 of Ordinance No.4 Series of 1960 who is/was not licensed butcher or butchers shall be fined not less than P5.00 and not more than P20.00 or an imprisonment of not less than 5 days not more than 10 days, or both, upon the discretion of court.
Section 3
Any licensed butcher or butchers caught slaughtering and selling meat of animals for public consumption outside the designated place as enumerated in Sec. 1 of Ordinance No. 4, Series of 1960. Shall be fixed of not less than P10.00 and not more than P20.00, or an imprisonment of not less than 10 days, nor more than 20 days, of both, upon the discretion of the court.
Section 4
Any licensed butcher/butchers caught slaughtering any animal or animals for public consumption without having been inspected and certified by the Meat Inspector that the animal or animals is/are free from any disease or diseases, shall be fined not less than P20.00 and not more than P50.00, or an imprisonment of not less than 10 days
Section 5
Any ordinance or parts thereof which is inconsistent to this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
Section 6
This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
