AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT ANY PERSON OR PERSONS TO SLAUGTHER ANY ANIMAL OR ANIMALS FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION WITHOUT HAVING INSPECTED BY THE MEAT INSPECTION, OR IN HIS ABSENCE, FROM THE RURAL HEALTH PHYSICIAN, OR HIS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; TO SECURE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL TREASURER A WRITTEN CERTIFICATION THAT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SLAUGHTER OF ANIMAL OR ANIMALS HAVE BEEN COMPLIED WITH; TO SECURE A SLAUGHTER PERMIT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR; TO PROVED PENALTY THEREOF.
Be it ordained by the municipal council of Catarman, Camiguin Philippines, assembled, that:
ARTICLE 1
DUTIES OF A PERSON OR PERSONS WHO SHALL SLAUGHTER
AN ANIMAL OR ANIMALS FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION.
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to slaughter any animal or animals for public consumption without complying the following requirements:
(a) For large cattle:
First: To secure from the Meat Inspector, or in his absence, from the Rural Health Physician, or his authorize representative a written certification that the animal or animals to be slaughtered for public consumption is worthy for consumption.
Second: To secure from the Office of the Municipal Treasurer a written certification that the requirements for slaughter of animals for public consumption have been complied with.
Third: To secure from the Office of the Municipal Mayor the slaughter permit.
ARTICLE II
PLACE DESIGNATED FOR SLAUGHTER OF ANIMALS FOR PUBLIC
CONSUMPTION WITHIN THIS JURISDICTION.
Section 1. There shall be a place designated for slaughtering animal or animals for public consumption, to wit:
In barrio Bonbon, near the barrio market.
In barrio Catibac, in front the community school, at the seashore.
In barrio Lawigan, at the corner of the National Road and Bura Road.
In barrio Bura, near the barrio market.
In barrio Panghiawan, in front of Mr. Panfilo C. Magto’s residence.
In barrio Compol, under the mango tree near the community school
In barrio Mainit, near the public market.
In Poblacion and the barrios of Looc, Liloan, Manduao, Alga and Tangaro, in the slaughter house of the public market at the Poblacion.
ARTICLE III
SLAUGHTER FEES
Section 1. If the animal or animals to be slaughtered is/are large cattle, the slaughter fee shall be six pesos per head.
Section 2. If the animal or animals to be slaughtered is/are pig, goat or sheep the slaughter fee is one peso per head.
Section 3. That the fees for slaughter shall be paid in the Office of the Municipal Treasurer.
ARTICLE IV
PENAL PROVISIONS
Section 1. Any person or persons found violating the provisions of the ordinance shall be fined in the amount of not more than fifty pesos and not less than twenty-five pesos, or an imprisonment of not more than ten days and not less than five days , or both fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court.
Section 2. any ordinance whose provisions are in consistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed,
Section 3. EFFECTIVITY: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
