1975 ORDINANCE NO. 18

AN ORDINANCE TO LEVEY A MUNICIPAL LICENSE FEE OF ONE HUNDRED PESOS FOR ANNUM TO ALL BUYERS (COMPRADORS) OF LIVESTOCKS FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES AND TO REQUIRE TO ALL LIVESTOCK BUYERS TO SECURE A PERMIT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR IF AN ANIMAL OR ANIMALS BE SHIFTED TO OUTSIDE THE MUNICIPALITY.


Be it ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin, now assembled that:


Section 1

Any person or persons who buys livestock, such as pig, carabao, horse, goat, etc, from another and sell it in whole or kill such animal and sell the meat to the public is considered engage in business to buy and sell livestock.


Section 2

Any person or persons engage in this kind of business as defined in Section 1 of this ordinance shall pay a municipal license in the amount of one hundred pesos per annum and which can be paid in quarterly basis.


Section 3

Any livestock buyer (comprador) who desire to shift his/her livestock outside the municipality of Catarman, Camiguin Province, shall secure a permit from the office of the Mayor for record purposes and check-up.


Section 4

Any person or persons found violating the provision or provisions of this ordinance shall be fined in the amount of not more than one hundred pesos and not less than fifty pesos, or imprisonment of not more than fifteen days and not less than ten days or both at the discretion of the court.


Section 5

Any ordinance whose provision is inconsistent with any of the provision of this ordinance is hereby repealed.


Section 6

This ordinance shall take effect on the tenth day of its approval.
