1980 ORDINANCE NO. 7

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1 SERIES OF 1979 PARTICULARLY SECTION 5.


BE IT ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Catarman, Camiguin:


Section 1

To compel owner/owners of animals like pigs, goats, cows, carabaos, horses, and the like to impound their respective animals so that they will not destroy our national, provincial, and municipal roads, including private/public plazas or plantations.


Section 2

That it is prohibited to tie animals along the streets, public or private lots, and the plantations of other persons.


Section 3

That any person caught violating this ordinance shall be find not less than P50.00 per head and not more than P200.00 plus P5.00 daily subsistence or an imprisonment of not less than 30 days and not more than 60 days or both fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court.


Section 4

That any animals caught and unclaimed after two days of confinement shall be sold to the highest bidder through public auction after the proper notice is given by the barangay treasurer or municipal treasurer.


Section 5

That out of the penalty, ten (P10.00) pesos per head of animal caught shall be given to the private person who shall catch the animal; twenty (P20.00) pesos shall be given to the barangay; and twenty (P20.00) pesos is for the municipality:


Section 6

That any ordinance which is inconsistent with the provision of this ordinance is hereby revoked.


Section 7

This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
