    1960 ORDINANCE NO. 25

    AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX OF FIVE CENTAVOS OF EVERY SACK OF COPRA EXPORTED FROM THIS MUNICIPALITY TO ANOTHEER PROVINCE AND TO LEVY A TAX OF FIVE CENTAVOS OF EVERY SACK OF COPRA BOUGHT FROM THIS MUNICIPALITY AND BE BROUGHT TO ANOTHER TOWN WITHIN THIS PROVINCE OF CAMIGUIN.


    Be it ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, that:


    Section 1

    All copra dealers, whether direct agent of sub-agent buying copra from this Municipality and shall export the same to another province or provinces whether said copra be loaded in this Municipality or elsewhere within this subprovince of Camiguin, shall pay Five Centavos (0.05) of every sack of copra loaded and transported.


    Section 2

    All copra dealers, whether direct agent or sub-agent buying copra from this Municipality and shall export the same to another province or provinces whether loaded in this Municipality or elsewhere within this subprovince of Camiguin shall submit a certified WEIGHT SHEET to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office after loading which will be made the bases of computing the total number of sacks loaded.


    Section 3

    Any copra dealer buying copra within this Municipality and shall bring the copra bought to any place outside this Municipality but within this subprovince of Camiguin shall pay Five Centavos of every sack of copra to the Office of the Municipal Treasurer or to any of his authorized representative or representatives before leaving this Municipality.


    Section 4

    Any copra dealer embraced under section 3 of this Municipality of Sagay shall stop in front of the Municipal Building before proceeding to Sagay, and any copra dealer desiring to go out from this Municipality via Volcan, shall stop at the check point at Sabang in Bonbon  and shall pay to the checker in-charge of that check point the Five Centavos of every sack copra loaded in the truck.


    Section 5

    Any copra dealer who shall violate any of the provision of this ordinance shall be find of not less than One Hundred Pesos (P100.00), and not more than Two Hundred Pesos (P200.00), or with an imprisonment of not less than twenty days (20), and not more than thirty days (30), or both fine and imprisonment, upon discretion of the court.


    Section 6

    Any ordinance which is inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance is hereby repealed.


    Section 7

    This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
