1968 ORDINANCE NO. 17

AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A LICENSE FEE OF TWELVE PESOS PER ANNUM TO PEDDLERS MAKING BUSINESS WITHIN THIS JURISDICTION OF CATARMAN, CAMIGUIN, USING MOTOR CYCLE AS MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION.


Be it enacted by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin that:


Section 1

It is unlawful for any person or persons to engage in peddling business within this municipality using his/her motor cycle as the means in transporting his/her goods without first securing a permit from the office of the Mayor.


Section 2

Any person or persons upon granting the permit to engage in peddling business by the Office of the Mayor shall pay to the Office of the Municipal Treasurer the amount of twelve pesos per annum as License Fee.


Section 3

Any permit granted by the Office of the Mayor but without any receipt showing that the grantee has paid his/her license fee in the amount of twelve pesos, shall be considered not valid for purposes of engaging business.


Section 4

Any person or persons found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined of not more than fifty pesos and not less than twenty pesos, or an imprisonment of not more than thirty days and not less than ten days at the discretion of the court.


Section 5

The ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
