1986 ORDINANCE NO. 1

ORDINANCE BANNING FISHERMEN WITH FISHING VESSELS OF THREE OR MORE TONS FROM FISHING WITHIN THE THREE MILE LIMIT WITHIN THE TERRETORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE MUNICIPALITY, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFORE.


Section 1

It shall be unlawful for fishermen, with vessels weighing 3 or more tons to fish in the territorial waters of Catarman, within the three-mile limit;


Section 2

In the event of any violation, arrests should be offended but any police of constabulary officer and corresponding charges file against the owner, if around, or the chief fishermen, or both, as the case may be;


Section 3

Penalty. For the first offense, the violator should be fined P100.00 or imprisoned for 1 to 30 days, or both, at the discretion of the court.


Section 4

For the second offense, the violator should be fined P200.00 or imprisoned for 2 months, or both at the discretion of the court.


Section 5

For the third offense, the violator should be fined P300.00 or imprisoned for (6) months, or both, at the discretion of the of the court.


Repealing Clause. Section 5. All previous ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby rescinded or amended.


EFFECTIVITY. Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
