AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, GOVERNMENT OWNED OR CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS AND PRIVATE CONTRACTORS UNDERTAKING GOVERNMENT PROJECTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CATARMAN, TO HAVE MANDATORY CONSULTATIONS WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF CATARMAN, THRU THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, BEFORE IMPLEMENTING PROJECTS/PROGRAMS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CATARMAN.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Bayan of Catarman, in its regular session, the above-captioned ordinance:
Section 1
This ordinance shall be known as Intergovernmental Relations Ordinance of 1994.
Section 2
Any government agencies, government owned or controlled corporations and private contractors undertaking government projects or programs shall conduct mandatory consultations with the Local Government Unit of Catarman, thru the Municipal Mayor, before implementing projects/programs within the municipality of Catarman.
Section 3
Any government agencies, government owned or controlled corporation and private contractors are required to coordinate with the Local Government Unit of Catarman in the planning and implementation of any national project within the Municipality of Catarman.
Section 4
Penalty Clause. Any violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall subject the violator to a fine of not less than P2,500.00 or an imprisonment of not less than six months, or both, at he discretion of the court. Repeated violations shall be penalized by an imprisonment of not less than six (6) months.
Section 5
Repealing Clause. All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed and/or rescinded.
Section 6
Effectivity. This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
