AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING OR GRANTING ANY OWNER OR PROPRIETOR OF A COCKPIT TO USE HIS COCKPIT FOR COCKFIGHTING FOR ONE MONTH ONLY AFTER PAYING THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED PESOS.
Be it ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin subprovince, Misamis Oriental, that:
Section 1
Any owner or proprietor of a cockpit who cannot afford to pay the amount of One Thousand Pesos annually as cockpit fee for the use of his cockpit for cockfighting shall be allowed or granted to use his cockpit for cockfighting for a period of one month only after paying the amount of One Hundred Pesos as cockpit fee for that period.
Section 2
Any owner or proprietor of any cockpit who shall use his cockpit for cockfighting without first paying the amount of One Hundred Pesos as provided under Section 1 of this ordinance shall be fined of not less than Fifty Pesos and not more than Two Hundred Pesos, or with an imprisonment of not less than ten days and not more than thirty days, or both upon the discretion of the court.
Section 3
This ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1961.
