AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ALL FISHERMEN TO CATCH YOUNG FISH, LOCALLY KNOWN AS MAAG AND SMALL BAGIS BY THE USE OF BEACH SIENE OR BALING, SET GILL NET OR PUKOT, WITHIN THE BOUNDARY OF BARANGAY LOOC AND PUNTA PUTI, THIS MUNICIPALITY.
Section 1
This ordinance shall be known as Fishing Ordinance of 1992.
Section 2
All fishermen are prohibited to catch small fish within the seawater from the boundary of barangay Looc to Punta Puti, this municipality, using the beach siene (baling) and/or set gill net (Pukot).
Section 3
It is allowed to catch small fish for recreational purposes using hook and line and bow and arrow fishing within the above mention net area.
Section 4
Any person violating this ordinance shall be fined of not more than P300.00, but not less than P100.00, or an imprisonment of not more than 15 days, but not less than 7 days, or both, at the discretion of the court.
Section 5
All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby rescinded and/or repealed.
Section 6
This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
