Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Catarman, in its regular session, the following:
AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATED THE COASTAL AREAS FROM LOOC BRIDGE GOING NORTHWARD AND FROM THE LAST MUNICIPAL STREET, AT SITIO PUNTA, POBLACION, CATARMAN, GOING SOUTHWARD, AS BIRTHENG AREAS FOR BOTH LOCALLY-OWNED AND TRANSIENT FISHING BOATS, IN THIS MUNICIPALITY.
Section 1
This ordinance shall be known as berthing areas ordinance of 1995.
Section 2
There shall be designated berthing areas for all locally-owned and transient fishing boats, from the Looc bridge going northward and from the last municipal street, at sitio Punta, Poblacion, Catarman, going southward.
Section 3
All locally-owned and transient fishing boats shall be prohibited to berth somewhere within the last municipal street, at sitio Punta, Poblacion, Catarman, and the Looc bridge, except when temporarily berthed/docked for the purpose of disposing their catch.
Section 4
Any violation of this ordinance shall subject the violator to a fine of not less than one thousand pesos (P1,000.00), or an imprisonment of not less than one year (1), or both, at the discretion of the court.
Section 5
All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed and/or rescinded.
Section 6
This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
