    1972 ORDINANCE NO. 17

    AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT ANY PERSON OR PERSONS TO PUT POISONOUS SUBSTANCE OR SUBSTANCES WITHIN THE PLANTATION.


    Be it ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin, that:


    Section 1

    It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to put any poisonous substance or substances within his/her/their plantation so as to kill the animal or animals that may enter in the said plantation.


    Section 2

    If an owner of a plantation may use poisonous substance or substances for the purpose to kill insects or may spray his/her plants, shall put a sign board in conspicuous place within his plantation informing the public that he/she will spray his/her plants with poisonous substance or substances, and the sign board warning the public shall be placed five days before the actual spray.


    Section 3

    PENALTY: Any person or persons found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction be fined of not less than fifty pesos and not more than one hundred pesos, or an imprisonment of not less than ten days and not more than twenty days, or both at the discretion of the court.


    Section 4

    REPEALING CLAUSE: Any ordinance whose provision or provisions is/are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance is/are hereby repealed.


    Section 5

    EFFECTIVITY: This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
