BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF CATARMAN, CAMIGUIN, THAT:
Article 1 - Definition of Terms.
Section 1
A market room occupant is one who occupies a market room through lease or rental.
Section 2
A stall holder is one who has acquired the right to occupy a stall, where he displays his wares sale to the public.
Section 3
A water subscriber is one who has acquired the right to tap a water connection from the Catarman water system to the place of his choice.
Article II – This ordinance shall be known as the surcharge Ordinance for late payment of water bills, market room rentals and Stallholder Rentals.
Article III - Period of Delinquency and Surcharge.
Section 1
Market room and stallholder rentals and water bills become due and collectible no later than the end of each month.
Section 2
Rentals or water bills paid after the end of any month is considered delinquent.
Section 3
For every month of delinquency, there shall be imposed a penalty of 2%; provided that, the penalty for the entire year should not exceed 24%.
Section 4
A market room occupant or a stallholder, who fails to pay his rentals for two straight months, loses his right as a market room occupant and as stallholder, as the case may be, without prejudice to collect his delinquencies dues to the government.
Section 5
A water subscriber, who fails to pay his water bills for two straight months, shall be subjected to have his water connection cut, without prejudice to collecting his delinquencies due the government.
Article IV - Penalty. The penalty imposed is stated in Article III, Section 3 hereof, in which the Sangguniang Bayan perform a quasi-judicial function.
Article V – Repealing Clause. All previous ordinances or parts thereof are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Article VI – Effectivity. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 16 days upon its approval.
