2002 ORDINANCE NO. 2 (Transient Vendors)

AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE BUSINESSES ON FISH, VEGETABLES, FRUITS AND OTHER GOODS BY TRANSIENT VENDORS WITHIN THE PUBLIC MARKET OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CATARMAN, CAMIGUIN.


BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Bayan, Catarman, Camiguin in its regular session the following:


Section 1

This ordinance shall be known as transient vendors ordinance of 2002.


Section 2

For the purpose of this ordinance, the following definition of terms shall apply:

a) resident market vendor – one who engages business and has occupied permanent stool room in the public market.

b) transient market vendor – one who engages business in the public market on temporary basis and has no permanent stall room in the public market.


Section 3

Only licensed resident market vendor shall be allowed to engage business inside the public market of the municipality of Catarman, Camiguin.


Section 4

Transient vendors shall only be allowed to engage business at least fifty-meter radius away from the public market.


Section 5

Transient vendors shall be collected cash tickets depending on the volumes of goods displayed per day, to be determined by the market collector.

              

Section 7

Penalty Clause. Any violation of any provision of this ordinance shall subject the violator to a fine of Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos, for first offense, Three Hundred (P300.00) Pesos, for second offense and Five Hundred (P500.00) Pesos or an imprisonment of Ten (10) days, or both, at the discretion of the court, for the third offense and succeeding offences.


Section 8

Repealing Clause. All ordinances or parts thereof in contravention of this ordinance are hereby repealed and or rescinded.


Section 9

Effectivity This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
