1960 ORDINANCE NO. 4 (Amendment)

AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PEOPLE FROM THE AGE OF TWENTY ONE AND UP WHO UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY INTOXICATING LIQUIOR OR UPON GETTING DRUNK CREATES TROUBLES IN ANY PLACE THAT MAY THEREAFTER DISTURB THE PUBLIC PEACE.


Section 1

No person or persons shall cause any public disturbance in any form and in any manner while intoxicated or in the state of drunkiness.


Section 2

Any person from the age of twenty-one or over caught in violation of the provision of this ordinance shall suffer the following penalty, to wit:


  • First Offense, fine of P20.00 or an imprisonment of not less than 5 days, and not more than 10 days, or both, upon the discretion of the court.


  • Second Offense, fine of P30.00, or an imprisonment of not less than 11 days, and not more than 20 days, or both, upon the discretion of the court.


  • Third Offense and Oftener, fine P50.00, or an imprisonment of not less than 21 days and not more than 30 days, or both, upon the discretion of the court.


Section 3

Any ordinance whose provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance is hereby repealed..


Section 4

The ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
