AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED “DRUNKENESS
Be it ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin, that:
Section 1
This ordinance shall be entitled “Drunkeness”
Section 2
Definitions of the term:
a. Office: Office may mean public or private office.
b. Establishment: Establishment may mean restaurants, cafeterias, calenderias, hotels traveled.. stores, billard, place, schools, cockpits.
c. Any place: any place refers t either public or private place.
d. Intoxicating drink: Intoxicating drink includes all kinds of wine and tuba.
Section 3
It is unlawful for any person or persons to cause disturbance or disorder in any office establishment, or any place, or shout, so as to disturb or cause disorder the peace of the community, or his/her neighbor or neighbors because he/she is drunk or under the influence of any intoxicating drink.
Section 4
Any person or persons caught violating the provision of this Ordinance shall be fined in the amount of not less than fifty pesos, and not more than one hundred pesos, and imprisonment of not less than ten days and not more than fifteen days at the discretion of the court.
Section 5
In case of insolvency, he/she will suffer subsidiary imprisonment of the rate of 2 pesos and 50 centavos each day of imprisonment,
Section 6
Any provision of the previous ordinance inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance is/are hereby repealed.
Section 7
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
