    1990 ORDINANCE NO. 16

    A CURFEW ORDINANCE FOR MINORS UP TO 17 YEARS OLD.


    Section 1

    This Ordinance shall be known as the curfew Ordinance of 1990.


    Section 2

    Minors from six to seventeen years of age are not allowed to roam at night, from 6:00 o’clock in the evening to 5:00 o’clock in the morning, except when legitimately running and errand for parents, in emergency cases.


    Section 3

    Minors, who are pursuing legitimate purposes, like fishing and during municipal and/or barangay affairs, are exempted from this ordinance.


    Section 4

    If minors from six years to 14 years commit a crime, the parents are made answerable for them.


    Section 5

    Any violation of this Ordinance shall subject the violator to an imprisonment of not more than thirty (30) days or a fine of not more than One Hundred (P100.00) pesos, or both, at the discretion of the court.


    Section 6

    Any ordinance or part/parts thereof, inconsistent with this Ordinance is hereby amended, rescinded or repealed.


    Section 7

    This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
