AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE AND DRINKING OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS OR BEVERAGES IN THIS MUNICIPALITY.
Section 1
This ordinance shall be known as Anti-Intoxication Ordinance of 1995.
Section 2
It shall be unlawful:
a) For any storeowner or dealer to serve or permit any person to drink intoxicating liquors or beverages in his establishment if the same has no license/business permit to engage in liquor or beverages business.
b) For minors, 17 years old and below, to drink intoxicating liquors or beverages anywhere in this municipality.
c) For storeowners or dealers to allow minors to drink any intoxicating liquors or beverage in their establishments.
d) For storeowners or dealers to sell intoxicating liquors or beverages to minors.
e) For any person to drink intoxicating liquors or beverages along the national, provincial, municipal and barangay roads, in the municipality of Catarman.
f) For any person who is intoxicated or under the influence of liquor to roam around the public streets, parks, market, restaurants or any other public places to such a degree that he may cause disturbance or threat to peace and order or injury or damage to person or property.
Section 3
Penalty Clause. Any violation of this ordinance shall subject that violator to a fine of not less than One Thousand (P1,000.00) Pesos, or an imprisonment of not less than thirty (30) days, or cancellation of business permits and/or licenses, or both at the discretion of the court.
Section 4
Repealing Clause. All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed and/or rescinded.
Section 5
Effectivity. This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
