1975 ORDINANCE NO. 30

AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE MATTER TO SUBSCRIBE ELECTRIC CURRENT FOR LIGHTING PURPOSES AND OTHER PURPOSES AND FIXING THE RATES.


Be it ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin, Philippines, assembled, that:


Section 1

Any person or persons who desires to install or connect electric wire to his/her house shall first apply to the office of the Municipal Mayor. If the application is approved, he/she may start the installation or connection of electric wire. The installation or connection shall be done only by a person duly authorized by the Mayor.


Section 2

When the installation or connection of electric wire is finished, the applicant shall inform the office of the Mayor. The Municipal Mayor shall ten assigns his duly authorized representative to inspect if the wiring is properly installed or connected. If the inspector certifies before the Mayor that the installation or connection of wire is properly done, the applicant shall begin to use the light.


Section 3

Every electric consumer shall pay the following to the office of the Municipal Treasurer.


a) Deposit     P15.00

This deposit is subject to be returned to the depositor anytime he/she desires to cut-off his/her connection. Provided he/she has no account of his/her use of the light.


b)Inspection fee     P5.00

This fee shall form part of the general fund for the use or needs of the generating set.


c) Rates: For the first outlet of 20 watts or less    P10.00

   For every additional of 20 watts or less           P 8.00

   For the first outlet of 40 watts                          P15.00

   For every additional of 40 watts                           P10.00

   For meter:  6 lamps, minimum of 15 kw hour      P30.00

   In excess of 15 kw hour is P1.00 per kw. hr.


Section 4

It is prohibited to use transformer in his/her house.


Section 5

It is prohibited to use television, sterios, electric fan, electric iron and other appliances without a meter of his/her own.


Section 6

It is prohibited to use extra light not applied for.


Section 7

If the consumer wish to stop the enjoyment of light, he/she may inform the office of the Municipal Treasurer who may cause the disconnection of wiring.


Section 8

PENALTY: Any violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined of not more than one hundred pesos and not less than fifty pesos, or imprisonment of not more than thirty days and not less than ten days, or both at the discretion of the court.


Section 9

REPEALING CLAUSE: Any ordinance whose provision or provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance is hereby totally repealed.


Section 10

EFFECTIVITY: This ordinance shall take effect on December 1. 1975.
