1960 ORDINANCE NO. 23

AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING ALL BICYCLE OWNERS TO REGISTER THEIR BICYCLE OR BICYCLES IN THE OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL TREASURER EVERY JANUARY OF EACH YEAR.


Be It ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin Subprovince, Misamis Oriental, that:


Section 1

Any person or persons living within this Municipality having bicycle or bicycles for use shall register his/their bicycle or bicycles in the office of the Municipal Treasurer any time within the month of January of each year.


Section 2

Any person or persons who shall register his/their bicycle or bicycles in the Office of the Municipal Treasurer shall pay as registration fee in the amount of Two Pesos (p2.00).


Section 3

Every bicycle registered shall be furnished place number and shall be placed in any part.of the bicycle that can be visibly seen by the public.


Section 4

That every bicycle owner shall return his plate number before the end of January of each when he renews the registration of his bicycles.


Section 5

Any bicycle owner who shall fail to register hi bicycle on the month as provided in Section 1 of this Ordinance and shall use it and caught by any number of the Police Force of this Municipality shall be fined of not less than Five Pesos (P5.00) and not more than Twenty five Pesos (P25.00) or an imprisonment of not less than two days (2) and not more than ten days (10), or both fine and imprisonment upon the discretion of the Court.


Section 6

Any registered bicycle owner shall lost his plate number of his bicycle shall apply for the change of his plate number and shall be charged One peso (P1.00) of the new plate no.


Section 7

That the Municipal Treasurer or his duly authorized representatives before registering any bicycle shall see if the following conditions are present:


1. That the tires are still strong for use.

2. That the rayes are still strong for use.

3. That the brake or brakes are in good condition

4. That it shall have head-light.


Section 8

 Any ordinance which is inconsistent with any provision of this ordinance is hereby repealed.


Section 9

That this Ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1961.
