    1972 ORDINANCE NO. 3

    AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 23, SERIES OF 1960, REQUIRING ALL BICYCLE OWNERS LIVING WITHIN THIS JURISDICTION TO REGISTER THEIR BICYClES IN THIS OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL TREASURER OF CATARMAN, CAMIGUIN.


    Be it ordained by the Municipal Council of Catarman, Camiguin, Philippines, that:


    Section 1

    Any person or persons living within this jurisdiction and having bicycle or bicycles for use shall register his/her/their bicycle or bicycles in the office of the Municipal Treasurer.


    Section 2

    The period of registration shall be from January 1 up to the last working day of January of each year.


    Section 3

    That the registration shall be renewed every year on the same month as provided in Section 2 hereof.


    Section 4

    That the registration fee per bicycles shall be three pesos, and upon payment of three pesos, the owner of the bicycle shall be furnished a plate with number to be placed in any part of the bicycle that is readable by the public.


    Section 5

    That the plate number given by the Municipal Treasurer shall be returned to the same Office at the time of the renewal of registration, or any time before the end of January if the registered owner of a bicycle does no longer use his bicycle.


    Section 6

    That if the plate number issued by the Municipal Treasurer be lost, then the said bicycle owner shall pay the lost plate number in the amount of two pesos and another plate number be issued to replace the lost one.


    Section 7

    That upon issuance of Official receipt, there shall appear the following:


    a. The name of the registered owner

    b. The serial number of the bicycle

    c. The make-up or brand of the bicycle

    d. The paint of the bicycle

    e. First, or Second, or third, hand

    f.  Other descriptions of the bicycle, if any,


    Section 8

    Any bicycle owner caught using his bicycle without registration from the office of the Municipal Treasurer, and or caught in violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined in the amount of not less than ten pesos and not more than thirty pesos or an imprisonment of not less than ten days and not more than ten days or both fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court.


    Section 9

    Any ordinance whose provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.


    Section 10

    This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
