Overview: Passed on May 20, 1996, this ordinance focuses on the safety and operational limits of small-scale transport, including motorized sikads, trisikads, and bicycles. It mandates that these vehicles must be equipped with functional headlights and signal lights when operating at night.
Beyond safety equipment, the law defines the permissible service routes for-hire units, restricting them to the corridor between Poblacion and Tangaro (South) and Poblacion to the Catarman Cockpit (North). Penalties include a P300 fine or 15 days imprisonment, with a strict provision that repeat offenders will have their permits to operate revoked.
