Overview: This Ordinance amends Section 10 of Ordinance No. 04, Series of 2011, which originally established route color coding for passenger motorelas in Catarman, Camiguin.
The primary purpose of the amendment is to formally organize Task Force "BEREDA" under the supervision of the Municipal Mayor. This Task Force is specifically mandated to intensify the collection of taxes and fees from motorela operators to augment municipal resources. Furthermore, the Task Force is empowered to enforce regulations, file charges against non-compliant operators, and report violators to the Chief Executive, the Police Chief, and the Sangguniang Bayan for further action.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 04. SERIES OF 2011, ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATINGÂ A ROUTE COLOR CODING TO ALL PASSENGER MOTORELAS, OPERATING WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CATARMAN, ISLAND PROVINCE OF CAMIGUIN, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, PARTICULARLY SECTION 10, OF SAID ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Bayan, this municipality, during its regular session assembled, the following:
Section 1
TITLE. This ordinance shall be known as An Ordinance Amending Section 10, of Ordinance No. 04, series of 2011.
Section 2
Section 10, of Ordinance No.04, series of 2011 is hereby amended to be read as follows:
Task Force – The Municipal Mayor shall organize the Task Force Code named “BEREDA”. The functions of the said Task Force are itemized herein below:
10.1 to intensify the rigid collection of monthly, quarterly and/or annual dues of taxes, fees or charges from the operators and/or drivers of the motorela concerned for the municipal coffer as augmentation to its meager resources.
10.2 assist in the enforcement of this ordinance and other existing ordinances with penalty.
10.3 file appropriate charges against violators of the ordinance; and
10.4 report all violators of the existing ordinances to the Chief Executive of the municipality, copy furnished the Chief of Police , and the Sangguniang Bayan for their information and appropriate action.
Section 3
EFFECTIVITY CLAUSE. This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
